Let’s check out Google’s third party keyboard for iOS.
Ever since iOS 8 allowed the use of third-party keyboards on iOS devices, many have already introduced their own take on making typing on the iPhone easier. The latest company to take advantage of this is Google, where it had just released its own keyboard called Gboard on the Apple App Store.
And as expected of Google, search is still one of the main functions of the keyboard. When you first launch it, you’ll see a Google symbol on the top left, where you can press it to help you do web searches and even use it search for GIFs or simple locate the right emoji. Think of it as Google Now made into a keyboard.
While the search function is helpful, the main thing that should be welcomed by users is the ability to search for emojis. Apple already offers hundreds of emojis on iOS, but searching for the right takes some time especially that you usually search for the right image. With Gboard, you can enter a specific term and a related emoji will appear for you to use.
